2012 Reunion - May 2nd to May 6th, 2012
Bowling Green, Kentucky
Our host hotel for the 2012 Reunion is the Holiday Inn University Plaza. This is the same one we that we used in 2008. Our room rate is $99 per night.
- To make a reservation at Holiday Inn, please call 270-745-0088 and say the magic words "Delta Company Reunion" to get our rate of $99 per night.
- There is a Marriott Courtyard (270-783-8569) and a Hilton Garden Inn (270-781-6778) across the street. There are several other hotels approximately one mile from the host hotel.
- Please make your own hotel reservations at wherever you want to stay.
Tentative Schedule of Activities
Wednesday May 2nd
- Evening @ 5 pm - dinner @ Montana Grill (2 blocks walk)
Thursday May 3rd
- Morning @ 9 am - tour of the Corvette Assembly Plant, lunch and tour of the National Corvette Museum
- Late afternoon and evening - hamburgers/hot dogs at Jan/Wendell's home.
Friday May 4th
- Morning - Hospitality Room Open for visiting. Breakfast/Lunch on your own.
- 1 pm - leave for Opryland Hotel. Transportation not provided so please car pool with others. The Hotel has 4-full service restaurants, 5 lounges and 8 fast service restaurants. You may eat at one these places while you explore Opryland Hotel or eat during the Grand Ole Opry show - or both.
- 6 pm - Doors Open and Pre-show begins for the Grand Ole Opry.
- 7 pm - Grand Ole Opry LIVE - please be in your seats by 6:30 pm.
- Costs - $55 to $34 depending on seating location. Please let me know how many & what price tickets you want for the Grand Ole Opry - must finalize order by February 1st.
Saturday May 5th
- Visiting Time until 3 pm
- 3 pm - auction and business meeting
- 6 pm - dinner and memorial tribute
Sunday May 6th
- Breakfast and goodbyes beginning at 7 am - brief program at 8 am

There will be time for those that served in Nam at the same time or in the same platoon that want to spend some time together to do so. Let me know if I can help facilitate anything!
For those that will be flying in, Bowling Green, KY is about one hour north of Nashville, TN airport (BNA) on Interstate 65. There are three airport shuttles that serve Bowling Green. I have talked with one whose driver (Roy) is also a Vietnam Veteran. Their one-way fee for Delta Company is $75 for the first person and then $25 per person for each additional person. Roy's phone number is 1-270-202-1559. Roy will help coordinate pickup times based on flight arrival.
Auction - Our unique auction items come from our own Delta Company Family. We have received already a beautiful handmade blanket. Please consider bringing with you something unique for the auction as that has become primary source of revenue to cover the expenses of the reunion. Things homemade, things unique to your community, things that are autographed from special people you know are our best sellers.
We will be happy to work with anyone individually, especially as we get closer to the reunion time. Please do not hesitate to ask any questions or for any help to make your time here relaxing and enjoyable. This includes help with hotel, meals, shuttles, other activities, etc.
