Thanksgiving/Christmas, 2003 Newsletter
Those of us on the Delta Reunion committee send all of you our warmest and heartfelt Thanksgiving and Christmas greetings. We hope this will be one of the best holiday seasons ever for you and your families.
We continue to make plans for the April 30, 2004 Reunion. We will have a dinner for all on Friday night and a lunch on Saturday. We have 35 rooms reserved and the Holiday Inn will be watching the sign-ups closely and will add rooms as needed. Although the Reunion officially begins of Friday, many of us will use Thursday as a travel day, and actually arrive on Thursday. The Holiday Inn phone number is 1-800-782-3119. The room rate is $57.99 for Thursday night and $89.99 for Friday and Saturday. When you call or e-mail to make your reservation, be sure to tell them it is for the Delta Company Reunion. You will find all the Reunion information on the website, including a link to make your reservation. If you have any special requests for activities at the Reunion please do not hesitate to let me know. We will also be looking for volunteers to help with some of the planning.
Through our website ( http://www.deltacompany.org/) we are now in contact with a few families who lost loved ones from our company. These contacts have been most important, as these families now know that their loved ones have not been forgotten by their fellow soldiers. We are hoping to have some of these families with us at the Reunion. Their presence will certainly be an honor for our men of Delta and we will provide a tribute to the families for their sacrifice. We also continue to receive many e-mails from new members, too.
Through the "Contact" link on the website, you can notify us of changes to your addresses (home and e-mail). As in prior newsletters, we will send the newsletters via e-mail for those with e-mail and by snail mail to the others. (We neither distribute nor sell our roster to anyone outside of Delta company members; we also do not send out spam messages.) Thanks to all of you for your financial generosity. We are supported entirely by the voluntary contributions of our members. If you would like to make a contribution, checks should be made out to Delta Company and mailed to Mac McLellan (contact us for the address)
