Loring M Bailey, Jr.: On March 15, 1970 at 1844 hours on hill 425 in the 515 Valley Specialist 4 Loring Bailey tripped a booby trapped 155 round that resulted in the death of Bailey, and a man named Woods. Wounded were troopers Leonard, Winfrey, Kovac, and others whose name we do not recall. One WIA died the next day but not sure who. This happened near the old French Fort in the 515 Valley.
