Gerald Thomas Butler

Gerald Butler was from Kalamazoo, Michigan. He arrived in Vietnam on July 10,1969 to later become the platoon Sgt for Third platoon. He died on April 20, 1970 along with Dick Ward from a booby trap/mine. Sgt Butler was well liked by all of us and always made sure we were ready for the field. I'm sure I speak for all of us in Third platoon when I say we are very proud to have served with Sgt Butler and will always remember him.
