James Robert Fowler

James Robert Fowler
Cpt James fowler was from Winder Georgia. He was born in Aug of 47... He
arrived in Vietnam on March 10th 1970. On April 24th Just a little over one
month in country he would die in a small villa off the Gaza strip along with
Fred larson and Richard Gardner From a booby trapped basket in a small hooch.
He was 22 Years old... Fowler aka "Billy the Kid" was just that... A kid.
Kinda wild with a strong southern drawl and a quick sense of humor. More of a
friend than a Cpt. I remember that he had a strong sense of pride in his family's
military history dating back to the civil war. He was proud to be in the Army
and represent his country. he was driven and fearless. He had great expectations
of himself as a leader of Delta.
We spoke often of his dreams for himself and what he wanted to achieve while
in country and the accolades he hoped to acquire.
Sadly as we know all too well. Some dreams, Hopes and plans die on the battle
fields. I am writing this because I didn't think any one else would. No matter
what. He was part of Delta and I remember him.
